This is a collaborative project between the School of Engineering and SRUC. The aim of this project is to analyze current gene imputation algorithms and develop FPGA-based circuit architectures for key modules. The ultimate aim of this project is to develop FPGA-based cloud-based architectures for high-speed implementations of such algorithms.
The objectives of this project include:
- An efficient mapping of gene imputation algorithm subroutines
- Development of circuits for gene imputation for improving performance
Investigators:
- Professor Tughrul Arslan, School of Engineering, University of Edinburgh
- Professor Mike Coffey, Scotland's Rural College (SRUC)
